Calorifer (air heater)
The calorifer is a heat exchanger based on finned tubes, designed to heat the air with the heat of hot water or steam.
Description and design
The apparatus consists of a bundle of finned heat exchange tubes fixed in tube sheets, chambers, fittings and a frame. The air washes the finned heat exchange surface and is heated by the heat of water or steam supplied to the pipes through the fittings.
